While their parents spent some time visiting their neighbors next door, two young brothers were left alone at home in their apartment. Their parents advised them to "be good lads." The boys decided to play a game of hide and seek to pass the time. The older child turned to face the wall and started to count. His younger brother was scurrying around in search of a place to hide, and he could hear his feet.
The big brother yelled, "Ready or not, I'm
coming," and he left to look for his younger sibling.
He searched all the usual spots—behind the sofa, behind the
shower curtain in the bathroom, behind the curtains in every room, and under
every bed—but was unsuccessful in finding him. It was oddly quiet in the
apartment. The wardrobe began to scrape, and he then heard it. The child went
there despite being certain that he had already searched there and cried out,
"Come out, I've found you," but there was no response.
He yelled for his brother to come out again, but nothing
happened.
The boy attempted to look beyond the wall of hanging gowns
and coats by opening the door. He knelt down, but he could not make out any
feet. A small, white, very cold hand reached out, grasped his wrist, and
attempted to drag him into the closet as he started to stand up and reach
through the pile of clothing to feel for his younger brother.
He hears a sound behind him and turns to see his brother
behind him as he struggles to free himself. The boy says, "Couldn't you
find me."
While being pulled inside the closet, the older brother
yells in terror and struggles mightily to get free of the hand's hold. He is
grabbed by the younger brother, and together they are able to release
themselves. Both of them flee the apartment while yelling.
If the hand had been able to draw him in, nobody knows what
would have occurred. Do you!
