Crybaby

After both his friends’ death, Michael was extremely terrified of death. He moved away on 1st June with his sister to a city not far. They rented an old apartment until they could find a house.

There weren't many people in the neighborhood but they were all very welcoming. The apartment was spacious and fancy. The people would run away hearing Michael’s apartment number which was a bit suspicious. Michael didn't care but his sister sure did. She was curious and started researching it. Michael asked the person who had rented the apartment to them about the situation, but they just hung up.

The siblings lived peacefully until the sixth night of June in 1970. At 6 pm, Michael and his sister were sitting watching their favorite movie, the 13 books on the television. Michael marked 6/06/1970 on the calendar. They ate spaghetti and went to bed. Michael was laying on his bed looking out the window. There was slight rain and a soft breeze. His sister's bed was a few inches from him. Michael shut his eyes and fell asleep.

Later that night, Michael woke to a high-pitched eerie sound. He turned to his sister, but she was fast asleep. Michael forced himself up and walked out of the room.
He went to see in the kitchen and saw that the tap was on. It was making a sputtering sound. He closed the tap and turned to the store room. There was a sorry excuse for someone staying there.

He turned on the lights and saw that it was just a reflection of a clothes stand. Michael was about to leave when he saw a figure on the floor. A kitten had entered through a small hole in the wall. It was close to a mirror. It wasn't a big deal and Michael took it out, but there was something he didn't notice, the cat had no reflection.

The next morning, Michael asked his sister if she had heard anything at night. She nodded her head and said, "I just heard a sort of slopping sound. I turned to look at you but you were laying on your bed crying. You just got up and tapped my head then went back to sleep. Why were you crying though?"
Michael froze. He explained that he was never crying and that he had slept on the sofa that night. The room suddenly turned pitch black and they both turned around to see a dark, huge figure with red eyes staring at them.

And so, the room number 6613 remained shut forever. People still often claim to have heard three voices crying in that room. The incident and the siblings will be remembered forever.

THE END
